Sara Prendergast started Virtually Sorted in 2007. Having spent 15 years in the sport management industry, she took time out to start a family. This prompted her to set up her own business from home.
During her career, she has been involved in the development of one of the most successful sporting colleges in New Zealand - Rangitoto College; she then used her skills in the promotion, administration and delivery of secondary school sport for more than 90 schools at ASB College Sport, before moving up the ladder into an operations management position. In recent times she has been contracting to Touch North Harbour in an operations and administration role.
A large part of her career has been in event management. This included co-ordinating awards dinners, sports expos, fashion shows and sports events and tournaments. Sara's success in event management can be attributed to her excellent time management and strong organizational skills.
She uses her formatting ability and maticulous eye for detail to create accurate and well presented documents and spreadsheets. She has exceptional computer skills, with a sound knowledge of most Windows programmes including Word and Excel.
She has been a website administrator for a number of years, involved in the administration and maintenance of sites. With her sound knowledge of Dreamweaver software and the associated publishing skills required, Sara has proven herself as a capable basic web designer. She is also familiar with online content management systems such as Joomla.
As Operations Manager, she was responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring systems and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the office, in particular the creation and maintenance of the Operations Manual.
Sara holds a BA from Auckland University, and a Post Grad Dip Sport from Massey University.
